In this project, the client had just had a recent cable installation to the home but they had left the boxes and the cables for the router, power and other appliances in a bit of a pickle, with unsightly wiring all over the place.
I suggested we create a cabinet in the corner where we could feed power to and contain and manage all the wiring and adaptors. This would free up the power socket safely by removing the multi-adaptor and provide a surge-protected supply to the router from inside the cabinet. The cabinet had a slim profile and plenty of slots for air to circulate and keep the electrical equipment cool.
